A web app designed to streamline accounting by allowing users to add companies, manage details, attach files, and generate reports—all in one place. Built for efficiency, it simplifies workflows and enhances accuracy.

Problem

Accountants struggled with scattered data and manual processes, leading to inefficiencies. This app centralizes company management, automates tasks, and makes financial tracking seamless.

Market research and analysis

Kicked off the project with in-depth market research, analyzing competitor accounting solutions and identifying gaps in business management tools. Conducted surveys and interviews with potential users to understand their needs, challenges, and workflow when managing company data, documents, and reports.
Synthesized findings to shape the app’s value proposition, focusing on key features such as seamless company setup, intuitive data entry, easy file attachments, and real-time financial reporting to enhance efficiency and user experience.

Concept development and user flow design

Led the concept phase, collaborating with the Product Manager to generate innovative ideas that align with user needs and business goals. Developed user personas and jobs to be done to ensure a user-centered approach in managing company data and financial tasks.
Mapped out user flows for key functionalities, including company setup, data entry, file management, and report generation. Focused on creating a simple and intuitive navigation structure to streamline workflows and enhance user efficiency.

UI design and prototyping

Developed high-fidelity prototypes in Figma that showcased the app's core features. Conducted iterative design reviews with the team to refine the prototypes.
